Rollins is Co-Author of Medical Imaging Book
Jeannean Hall Rollins, associate professor of medical imaging and radiation sciences, is co-author of the 13th edition of a major reference work for professionals and students. Merrill's Atlas of Radiographic Positioning & Procedures, begun in 1949, is published in several languages and used internationally as both a college textbook and reference for radiology departments. While she has worked on previous editions, this is her first time as co-author.

Hufstedler Noted for Assisting Honors Students
Sherry Hufstedler, administrative assistant in the Honors College, received the staff award for "Enhancing the Student Experience" at the annual Distinguished Performance and Service Recognition ceremony. A member of A-State's staff since 2006, she has been in Honors since 2011. Students who nominated her noted her caring personality, excitement for the students' success in Honors and ability to work effectively with everyone with whom she has contact.

Miller is Project Director for STEM Conferences
Dr. Cynthia Miller, director of the Delta STEM Education Center, was project director for conferences designed to attract more females to the STEM disciplines of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Approximately 100 college and high school women attended the sessions at A-State and East Arkansas Community College. Miller also was project director for an Arkansas Humanities Council grant-supported conference for teachers on how to use quail as a subject for integrated classroom instruction.

Spicer is Recipient of 'Team Player Award'
Rebecca Spicer, procurement manager in Procurement and Travel Services, was recognized as winner of the "Team Player Award" during the recent Distinguished Performance and Service Recognition ceremony. A member of the A-State staff since 1989, she was selected because of the outstanding quality of her working relationships with campus constituents and co-workers, along with her helpfulness in selecting vendors, determining specifications and pricing.

ITS Hardware Services Area Earns 'Team Achievement Award'
Congratulations to the staff members of the Hardware Services Area in Information Technology Services (ITS). For their combined workplace performance, they earned the Team Achievement Award at the recent Distinguished Performance and Service Recognition ceremony. Team members include Shane Johnston, assistant director of ITS, John Royse, Sharon Rye, Austin Adamski, Scott Opperman, Brian Richardson, Kyle Butler and Adam Browning. They were cited for being "helpful, professional and knowledgeable" with acquiring, setting up and maintaining computers for users across campus.
