Campus Efforts Bring Record-Setting Results

Congratulations to all A-State faculty and staff who contributed in various ways to several record-setting campus achievements, including the fall class recruiting and enrollment announced last week. Headcount, full-time equivalent (FTE), retention, graduate and online enrollment are just some of the measurements where the university has excelled because of your efforts. Hall Presents on Data Protection Policies Hall Presents on Data Protection Policies

Dr. Holly Kathleen Hall, associate professor of strategic communication, made a presentation during a refereed research paper session at the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC) national conference in Minneapolis. She presented the paper "EU v. U.S. Data Protection: An Unsafe Harbor?" in the law and policy division conference session that focused on digital data law and policy.

 
Tusalem has Article in Political Science Review

An article by Dr. Rollin F. Tusalem, associate professor of political science and co-director of the MA program, is published in International Political Science Review, the journal of the International Political Science Association. In "Political and Economic Accountability in a Delegative Democracy," Tusalem explores how the Filipino mass public assess and evaluate their president's performance. The article is in the current issue.

Hunt is Faculty Fellow at Teaching Consortium Hunt is Faculty Fellow at Teaching Consortium

Dr. Shane Hunt has been invited to serve as a Faculty Fellow at the Marketing Management Association Doctoral Teaching Consortium this month in Providence, R.I. The consortium sessions are led by award‑winning faculty fellows who are accomplished in the marketing discipline, as well as being exceptionally effective in the classroom. Hunt will be working with Ph.D. students on best practices for teaching and engaging students.

 
Greenwalt's Students Compete in National Bowl

Dr. Bert Greenwalt, professor of agricultural economics, accompanied students Hunter Biram, Grant Wilson and Avery Bise to Boston where they competed extremely well in the American Agricultural Economics Association (AAEA) Academic Bowl. After narrowly losing their first round to a team of alternate students representing three schools, the A-State team won three straight over Florida, Iowa State and Oregon State before losing to Purdue in the double elimination tournament.
