Faculty and Staff Make Preview Day Success
Chancellor Kelly Damphousse expressed appreciation Monday in a campus message to faculty and staff who participated and contributed in countless ways to Pack Preview Day. A record of number of prospective students, mostly high school juniors, attended information sessions and toured academic departments. Hwang to Serve as Interim Associate Dean
Dr. Yeonsang Hwang, associate professor of civil engineering, will become interim associate dean of engineering effective with the first summer term. Engineering is preparing for its periodic ABET accreditation site visit next fall. He succeeds Dr. Brandon Kemp, who will return to his research focus. Dr. Paul Mixon, ABET coordinator, and the undergraduate program directors will be concentrating on completion of self-study reports.

McDaniel and Interns Discuss Leadership
Dr. Karen McDaniel, associate professor of management, and four students who major in business programs were guests Monday on the "Community Conversations" program which is broadcast by KLEK-FM. Roshawntae Boone, Tori Carmack, Madeline Portier and Marlyn Tejera discussed their experiences while interning at the Women's Business Leadership Center in the College of Business, along with the upcoming Women's Business Leadership Conference, March 29.

Hall Presents Paper at National Conference
Dr. John D. Hall, professor of psychology and counseling and holder of the James and Wanda Lee Vaughn Endowed Professorship, and former colleague Dr. Gerald Gill Strait presented their peer-reviewed scholarship in Chicago at the Trainers of School Psychologists National Conference on Contemporary Issues in School Psychology and Education. Their topic was "Recruiting School Psychology Program Applicants: Internal and External Strategies for Trainers and Programs."

Kary Assists with 'Exploring Arkansas' Segment
Jill Kary, curator of education for ASU Museum, gave a guided tour and discussed the Museum's exhibits on natural history and cultural heritage for videographer Chuck Dovish, who made a surprise visit. He shot a segment on ASU Museum for his "Exploring Arkansas" series on the Arkansas Educational Television Network (AETN). The show is scheduled to air Wednesday, March 7, at 6:30 p.m. Details are online.
