Bouldin is PI for Bees and Soybeans Research
Dr. Jennifer Bouldin, professor of environmental biology and director of the Ecotoxicology Research Facility, is principal investigator for a $149,988 grant from a division of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. She and co-PIs Dr. Tanja McKay, professor of entomology and director of the environmental sciences program, and Rebecca Cooper will conduct research on native bee species that are pollinating Arkansas soybean fields and their impact on yields.

Article by Fish and Guha Published in Journal
A scholarly article by Dr. Kelly Fish (left), professor of computer information and technology, and Dr. Gauri Guha, associate professor of economics, has been published in the Journal of Leadership, Accountability and Ethics. In "Strategies for Enhancing IB Leadership Skills in the Arkansas Delta Region – A Decision Science Approach," they have analyzed A-State's international business program and its potential for building global leadership capacity. Taylor Featured in Women of Higher Education
Dr. Evelyn Taylor, assistant professor of social work and co-chair of the Department of Social Work, was featured in the Journal of Women in Higher Education. She was recognized for her diverse work life and community service, especially through A-State CARE (Community Action Reinforcing Empowerment). CARE, which is staffed by social work faculty and students, provides a number of services for children and families in the area.

Bradley Elected to Licensure Standards Board
Dr. Mary Jane Bradley, dean, College of Education and Behavioral Science, is serving a three-year term on the Professional Licensure Standards Board (PLSB), appointed by the State Board of Education and representing public institutions of higher education and the Arkansas Association of Colleges for Teacher Education. The PLSB board reviews audits of the teacher education programs to determine if the programs allow graduates to become licensed.

Buckley Installs Art during Boston's Hubweek
Cameron Buckley, instructor of digital design, was awarded a $6,000 grant to complete an art installation in the Boston Government Center as a part of Hubweek 2018. His installation, "Paper-Thin V3," is a remotely-controlled drawing robot installed within a shipping container. Buckley invited 14 artists from around the world to access the machine on the internet and create artwork as part of a virtual residency.
