Kendrick Joins Physical Therapy Faculty
Dr. Alexis Kendrick is a new assistant professor of physical therapy. After completing her doctoral degree in physical therapy at A-State, Kendrick has been working in private practice, and devoting extra time to her special interests, including hippotherapy and women's health. While serving on faculty, she also will be a part-time student, working toward an additional degree, a doctorate in educational leadership.

Wimpy is Teaching Political Science
Dr. Cameron Wimpy returns to A-State this year as assistant professor of political science. Previously he was research director of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Election Data and Science Lab. An Arkansas native, he earned his Ph.D. at Texas A&M after completing his BA and MA in political science at A-State. He is looking forward to contributing to research productivity and teaching excellence.

Everett to Direct Services for Transfer Students
Adrian Everett is the new director of transfer services within the Enrollment Management division, which is now taking the lead with transfer students. Everett previously had a similar role within Academic Affairs, where he was an associate director and the transfer student services coordinator. The Registrar's Office also is transferring into Enrollment Management as part of a reorganization. More details are online.

Rector Joins Clinical Lab Sciences Faculty
Claude Rector, a new assistant professor in clinical laboratory sciences, will teach courses in medical microbiology, clinical immunology/serology and medical parasitology. Previously he was the medical laboratory technician and phlebotomy program director at Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas in Helena for more than 11 years. He earned his Master of Arts (MA) in microbiology from the University of Arkansas.

Cormier to Teach in Counseling Program
Savannah Cormier is a new instructor of psychology for the counseling program. A licensed professional counselor in the state of Colorado, as well as a play therapist, she is working on completing her Ph.D. in counselor education and supervision at the University of Northern Colorado. The Louisiana native has been working on her dissertation, which is focused on exploring counselor educators’ use of neuroscience-informed pedagogy.
