Reese is Co-Editor, Contributor, to New Book
Dr. Catherine Reese, professor of public administration and director of the MPA program, is co-editor of the newly released Readings in Arkansas Politics & Government, second edition, published by University of Arkansas Press. She also co-authored three of the articles — a new one on the Arkansas state budget process, and two reprints of journal articles she wrote with former and current colleagues, including Dr. David Harding, associate professor of political science.

Oliver, Riley and Labovitz Lead Wind Ensemble
Four music faculty members are accompanying the Wind Ensemble to the College Band Directors National Association's Southwestern Division Conference in Norman, Okla. Dr. Tim Oliver (left), director of bands, Dr. Sarah Labovitz, associate director, and Dr. Steven Riley, assistant director, will conduct selections for the group's invited performance Thursday. Dr. Derek Jenkins, assistant professor, composed one of the pieces to honor the 90th anniversary of A-State bands.

Juarez Co-Authors Research into Black Holes
A paper by Dr. Montserrat Juárez, professor of physics and mathematics, A-State Campus Queretaro, in collaboration with Dr. Moises Bravo of Universidad Católica del Maule, has been accepted for publication in Classical and Quantum Gravity. Research for the paper, “Thermodynamics and Cardy-Like Formula for Non-Minimally Dressed, Charged Lifshitz Black Holes in New Massive Gravity,“ started in 2018.

Kary's Article Featured in NISE STEM Network
An article by Jill Kary, curator of education, Arkansas State University Museum, was featured in the "partner highlight" section of the National Informal STEM Education Network newsletter. Kary wrote about the Museum joining forces with two colleges, ABI, NYIT, the Arkansas Science Festival and other campus units to host a very successful STEM Fest, which was attended by more than 900 guests. Travis Clayton, university photographer, provided images.

Bradley and Archery Club Noted for Excellence
The A-State Archery Club and coach Spencer Bradley, director, Red Wolf Wellness, have been selected for the USA Archery Club Excellence Program, a nine-month learning experience available to select USA Archery clubs and their coaching staffs. A-State Archery is one of only six universities in the country selected to participate in the program, which aims to develop coaches and prepare athletes for national and international competition.
