Dr. Thilla Sivakumaran is now vice chancellor for the division of Global Engagement and Outreach, one of several administrative changes announced Friday and detailed in this edition of Inside A-State. He will continue leading international and online programs and serving as interim vice rector for Campus Queretaro. At A-State since 2012, he also oversees degree centers located on sister campuses within the ASU System.

Dr. Martha Spack has been appointed to serve as vice chancellor for the division of Student Affairs and continue in her role as dean of students, to which she was appointed in 2018. After joining the A-State staff in 2004, Spack has had oversight responsibilities for several areas that directly serve students, including directing the Leadership Center. She also teaches courses in the leadership studies program.

Dr. Erika Krennerich Chudy, who has served as A-State’s interim vice chancellor for the division of University Advancement for the past year, has been appointed as permanent vice chancellor for University Advancement. University Advancement, based at Cooper Alumni Center, includes the offices of Development and Alumni Relations. She joined the A-State staff as director of planned giving in 2011, and recently completed her doctoral degree in educational leadership.

Marcy White, program coordinator, Childhood Services, has developed a curriculum designed especially for children aged 3-6. Titled "Explorers: A Summer Curriculum," the resource includes many authentic, interactive experiences designed to foster the 4 Cs of learning: creativity, critical thinking, communication and collaboration. Topics for autumn and winter will be added late this summer. The development of Explorers was funded by the Arkansas Department of Education. The curriculum, which supports all domains of child development, may be downloaded.

Dr. Bill Smith was named chief communications officer for A-State. Smith has led the division of Marketing and Communications since arriving at A-State in 2013. Previously the associate vice chancellor for marketing and communications, Smith continues in a similar role and reports directly to the chancellor, serving as a member of the Chancellor’s Cabinet. The division shifts from University Advancement to the Chancellor’s Office.
