Scott Advocates for Sonic Engagement
Dr. Sarah Scott, assistant professor of communication studies, has contributed to the scholarly sound blog, “Sounding Out!” with her article, "Sonic Lessons of the Covid-19 Soundscape." In the blog, Scott argues that we have a continued responsibility to sustain our sonic engagement and listen to what the Covid-19 soundscape teaches us, and that our cultural ways of listening shape what it means to be sick or disabled. Latest Edition of Hill’s Textbook is Published
The sixth edition of a textbook co-authored by Dr. Matthew Hill, associate professor of finance, was released recently. Short-Term Financial Management includes material pertinent to courses covering the management of firm liquidity, working capital, and the treasury function. The textbook provides a comprehensive overview of these vital topics and also introduces many of the topics that must be mastered to earn the Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) certification.

Desai Presents on Accounting Measures
Dr. Hrishikesh Desai, assistant professor of accounting, is co-author of a financial accounting research paper which he presented recently to peers. His research concerned non-GAAP disclosures, in the customized accounting measures topic area. Desai made the presentation for a meeting of the Arkansas Accounting Research Consortium (AARC), which involves research paper presentations from faculty at educational institutions across the state.

Hall, Medley, Johnson and Wilkinson Present Study
Four faculty recently presented their peer-reviewed research at the American Psychological Association annual convention's Division 16 School Psychology in August. They are Dr. John Hall, professor of psychology and counseling, and Vaughn Endowed Professor; Dr. Meagan Medley, assistant professor of psychology; Dr. Kristin Johnson, assistant professor of psychology; and Dr. Wayne Wilkinson, associate professor of psychology. The title of their virtual poster presentation was “Academic and Behavior Case Studies: Establishing Content Validity for a School Psychology Measure.”
