Research by Rich and Manlove is Published Research by Rich and Manlove is Published

A research article by Dr. Jerica Rich (left), assistant professor of animal science, and Dr. Jacob Manlove (right), assistant professor of agricultural economics, has been published in North American Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture (NACTA) Journal. The purpose of their study was to determine students’ perceived value of on-farm, technical training at a university farm. Rich also presented this research at the Hawaiian International Conference on Education (HICE).

 
Fears to Present Campus History Research

Dr. Lillie Fears, professor of multimedia journalism, will present a program tonight at the A-State Museum regarding research she and her students have conducted. Fears will discuss the campus experience of African Americans, including students, faculty and staff, as based on university yearbooks from 1956 to 2013 and her own research. Their work began as a class project in her fall 2021 qualitative research methods graduate course. Details are online.

Bryant Discusses Teaching with UK Students Bryant Discusses Teaching with UK Students

Dr. Lance G. Bryant, professor of physical education and associate dean, Education and Behavioral Science, was invited by the Marjon Teacher Education Partnership to discuss the international perspectives of teaching physical education in the United States with a forum of university students in Plymouth, England. The forum provided students with the opportunity to exchange ideas and discuss issues related to teaching, learning, and becoming an effective teacher.

 
Butcher Accompanies Students on D.C. Trip

Dr. Jordan Butcher, assistant professor of political science, accompanied a group of 12 of students to the Inside Washington Seminar in the nation’s capital. They participated in an immersive experience that offered numerous educational opportunities. The group interacted with public policy officials, looked at various career paths, and discussed current issues. ASU-TV recorded an interview with the students that is scheduled to air Thursday, Feb. 9, at 10 a.m.

Lara and Students Prep Research for Journal Lara and Students Prep Research for Journal

Congratulations to Dr. Nicolás Ramos Lara, assistant professor of biological sciences, Campus Querétaro, and three students, José Pablo Torres, Ximena Zamora and Diego Aznar, who were recognized for their research. Their work, which won third place in the natural and exact science, undergraduate category, at the 10th Meeting of Young Researchers in Querétaro, will be published in Nthe, a digital journal in science, technology and innovation.
