A textbook by Clint Vogus, instructor in management, has been published by Great River Learning, a Division of Kendall Hunt. In the book, Principles of Management for the 21st Century, Vogus focuses on core principles for managing workers in today’s environment of global competition, increasing use of technology, more knowledgeable workers, and more. Vogus draws on his experience in industry management, business consulting and education to build the foundation for effective management.

Mosleys Featured in St. Jude Inspire Series
The remarkable journey experienced by A-State staff members Keithan and Amanda Mosley and their family is recounted in St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital’s Inspire Series. St. Jude has treated their son, Josiah, for cancer, and the article highlights the valuable support the Mosleys have received from the university community. Keithan is computer support analyst, Engineering and Computer Science, and Amanda is interlibrary loan technician, Ellis Library.

Hall, Medley, Johnson and Grad Students Publish Research
Dr. John Hall, Dr. Meagan Medley, and Dr. Kristin Johnson, Department of Psychology and Counseling faculty, along with school psychology graduate students Hannah Tisdale, Jaylee Martinez, Aleise Nooner, Zoe Douglas, Hayley Peoples and Anna Chaplain recently had their research published in the peer-reviewed Journal of Special Education Leadership. The article is “Assessment of Intellectual Disability: An Examination of Current State Special Education Guidelines for Intelligence and Adaptive Behavior.” The authors provide insight and research on current state special education guidelines and their alignment with best assessment practices associated with intellectual disabilities in the schools.

Esparza Co-Editor of Newly Published Book
Dr. Saúl Alfonso Esparza Rodríguez, professor of business, Campus Querétaro, is co-editor of a book newly published with collaborators at two other institutions. The book, Sustainability, Stakeholders and Marketing in the Textile Sector: Conceptual and Practical Cases for the Americas, addresses the strategies to achieve sustainable development goals (SDGs). The book is currently part of the recommended reading material for his social impact management course.

Eskridge and James Present at Conference
Sherry Eskridge (left), student engagement and outreach librarian, and Erika James (right), student assistant specialist, Dean B. Ellis Library, gave a presentation at the Arkansas Library Association Conference in Hot Springs. During their session, “Repurposing Your Book Jackets,” Eskridge and James covered effective ways that library professionals and educators can use book jackets to provide a creative outlet for their patrons and students.
