I grew up in eastern Connecticut. I am currently working on my M.S. Biology at Arkansas State University studying stocking regimens of Florida largemouth bass (Micropterus salmoides floridanus) in seven Arkansas reservoirs using microsatellite analysis. The majority of my research occurs in the laboratory, though I do enjoy getting outdoors as much as possible. Following my work as a GK12 fellow, I plan to continue my education towards a doctorate in ecology and evolutionary biology, and hope to become a professor of biological sciences.
