The IT Help Desk serves A-State students, faculty, and staff 24/7 with a variety of IT needs! There are a few different ways for you to reach the IT Help Desk! When contacting the IT Help Desk, be ready to provide them with your A-State ID number as that is the information that they will need to assist you!
Call the IT Help Desk
You can reach the IT Help Desk 24/7 via phone at (870) 972-3933. If you call the IT Help Desk and get their voicemail, leave them a voicemail and they will get back with you within 24 hours (usually much sooner). The only way that you may not get a call back within 24 hours is if you call them during the weekend or on holidays. In that case, you can expect a call back on the next business day.
Email the IT Help Desk
You can reach the IT Help Desk Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM via email at itshelpdesk@astate.edu. If you email the IT Help Desk Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM, you will get a response within 24 hours (usually much sooner). If you email the IT Help Desk during the weekend or on holidays, you can expect a reply on the next business day.
Submit an IT Help Desk Ticket
You can also submit your own IT Help Desk ticket! These tickets go straight to the IT Help Desk so that they can assist you!
How to Submit an IT Help Desk Ticket
- Navigate to the my.AState portal and login.
- Click Helpdesk Tickets.
- Go to Sign In at the top right of the page and sign in with your A-State username and password.
- Under Services, click Submit A Request and under Service Catalog, select the section that matches the closest to your issue and then click Create A Ticket.
- Fill out all of the information regarding your issue and once you’re finished, click Request.
- This will have created the ticket and it will be sent to the appropriate group so you should receive information on how to resolve your issue soon.
Once you have your ticket number, you are good to go! An IT Help Desk agent will be in touch with you soon! If, for some reason, you need to get in touch with an IT Help Desk agent regarding your ticket, please be ready to provide your ticket number so that they can better assist you!
