The Public Safety Officer is responsible for the enforcement of traffic and criminal laws and parking regulations. This position is governed by law enforcement standards, state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy

The minimum requirements include the formal education equivalent of a high school diploma; Must be certified or be able to become certified within one year of employment by the Arkansas Law Enforcement Standards Training Academy as a Police Officer in accordance with ACA 12-9-106 or an approved law enforcement training academy. Must possess a valid Arkansas driver's license. The applicant cannot have any felony convictions.

Current Annual Salary: $50,976.00
5.5% additional shift differential for staff working evening and nights. ($53,779.00)
