About the Program
The Engineering Technology program at Arkansas State University offers a diverse curriculum of study designed to provide our students with the broad background necessary to be competitive and successful technologists in today’s mainstream industrial workforce. This program prepares students for a wide range of technical careers ranging from manufacturing, operations, quality control, technology management, and upcoming renewable energy sector. Engineering Technology graduates develop, manage, and improve production processes in a wide range of industries.
Degrees Offered
The program offers a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology degree with three emphasis areas:
- Manufacturing and CAD
- Computer Systems
- Technical Studies
The program also offers an Associate of Science degree with a major in Engineering Technology. This degree allows students to complete a two-year program to meet the needs of the industry while preserving the option of earning a baccalaureate degree in the future. It permits the industry to meet its educational and training requirements when a four-year degree is not warranted.
