Welcome to the A-State Department of Music!

Whether you are a music student or music educator, music performer or music appreciator, we hope to share our talents and passion for music with you. As a prominent cultural hub in the Mid-South, the A-State Music Department offers students the opportunity to study and perform in a variety of musical genres. We also provide our community the chance to see these talented students in action as they share the fruits of their labor and love on the Riceland Hall stage in the beautiful Fowler Center, in the newly renovated Recital Hall in the Fine Arts Center, on Allison Field at Centennial Bank Stadium, and in other performing arts spaces across Jonesboro and beyond!

The A-State Department of Music has comprehensives offering of undergraduate and graduate degrees, a wide range of instrumental and vocal performance groups, a generous scholarship program for music and non-music majors, and a talented and committed faculty that wants to help their students reach their personal and professional goals. I think I can speak on behalf of all my colleagues when I say that we are so fortunate to be able to have the careers in music that we dreamed about as students, so we do whatever we can to help facilitate turning our own students' dreams into reality. If you have a passion for music and a drive to succeed, let us help you turn your potential into progress!

Northeast Arkansas has a growing and thriving music community and the A-State Department of Music is happy to play such a pivotal role in its expansion. Whether you want to participate as a performing musician or an enthusiastic audience member, there is a place for you here. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions about the A-State Department of Music or any of its offerings. I hope to see you at an A-State Music event in the near future!
