About Our Program
A-State's DVM program is designed as a three-year pre-clinical curriculum and one-year clinical curriculum. The twelve-month clinical year is distributed across practices in Arkansas, the region, and the nation. The College of Veterinary Medicine is one of twelve colleges at Arkansas State University and is situated in the heart of Arkansas's agricultural industry on Crowley's Ridge in beautiful Jonesboro, a one-hour drive from Memphis, Tennessee.
About A-State
Arkansas State University is a Carnegie Research 2 institution. Existing University resources include the College of Agriculture and associated University Farm, a 240 acre farm with equine, bovine, and other livestock facilities and the Arkansas Biosciences Institute, which offers amazing opportunities for biomedical and agricultural sciences research. Opportunities for collaboration exist on the A-State campus with the Beck College of Sciences and Mathematics, the College of Agriculture, the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine, and the College of Nursing and Health Professions. A new CVM building is being constructed to house faculty and teaching facilities, including state-of the art laboratory spaces for anatomy, clinical skills, and surgical skills instruction.

Assistant/Associate Professor of Small Animal Clinical and Surgical Skills
Arkansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine invites applications for a faculty position in teaching Companion Animal Clinical and Surgical Skills. This will be a 12-month, full time, non-tenure track, Assistant or Associate Professor position. Rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. This will be a predominantly teaching position (85% teaching) and include research/scholarly activities and service. Teaching of DVM students will be in a competency-based veterinary curriculum incorporating lecture, lab and small group learning.
