JONESBORO – Persons interested in attending the 20th annual Agribusiness Conference at Arkansas State University on Wednesday, Feb. 12, still have time to register for the event, which begins at Fowler Center.

Of interest to many farmers, ranchers, agriculture professionals and students will be Dr. David Kohl, an agricultural economist and consultant who will address the impact of global trends on agribusiness and how to prepare the next generation for transition into a family farm business.

“We are extremely happy to have Dr. Kohl address this year’s conference, said Dr. Bert Greenwalt, A-State professor of agricultural economics and conference organizer. “His knowledge of the industry, coupled with his 30+-year career in conducting agriculture seminars and workshops made him an obvious fit for the A-State conference.”

He has conducted more than 6,000 workshops/seminars to groups including bankers, members of Farm Credit Services, employees of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Farm Services Agency, producers and other agribusiness groups.

Additionally, he is president of AgriVisions, LLC, a knowledge-based consulting business that provides programs to agricultural organizations around the world, he and writes the weekly column “Ag Globe Trotter” for Farm Credit (http://www.agcountry.com/en/Tools/Ag-Globe-Trotter.aspx).
