A-State Rugby Falls To Life University, 34-7
ATLANTA, Ga. — Arkansas State University’s rugby team dropped a 34-7 decision to Life University, here Saturday afternoon. The loss to the Mid-South Conference rival evens the Red Wolves record at 1-1.
Life, ranked No. 2 nationally, dominated No. 3-ranked A-State by scoring early through pressure defense and off of penalty goals by Life’s Joe Cowley.
Life went into halftime, up 13-0, and the Running Eagles began to pull away when play resumed. Arkansas State got a try late, but was unable to make up the difference in the second half.
A-State next faces Davenport at home Saturday, March 8. Play gets underway at the Arkansas State Rugby Field at 1 p.m.
