A-State’s Russ Hannah Receives Appointment to Council
JONESBORO, Ark. — Dr. Russ Hannah, Arkansas State University's Associate Vice Chancellor for Finance, was appointed to the National Association of College and University Business Officers’ Accounting Principles Council.
Selected by NACUBO president John Walda to serve a five-year term, Hannah joins the national organization's advisory body on accounting standards.
"This is a high honor for Arkansas State and a privilege for me to serve our national standards group," Hannah said. "I am looking forward to representing not only A-State, but also my colleagues from colleges and universities across their region."
Hannah begins his tenure on the national council at the organization's January meeting in Scottsdale, Ariz. He is believed to be the first administrator from an Arkansas college or university selected to serve on the 15-member APC.
"We could not be more pleased with Russ' selection to the Accounting Principles Council," A-State Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration Dr. Len Frey said. "His advice and leadership on drafting and monitoring policies and accounting practices at Arkansas State are vital to our operations. This is an outstanding recognition by his peers nationwide of his professional achievement and commitment to accountancy standards for public institutions."
