A-State Students Present STEM Posters at the State Capitol

LITTLE ROCK – Arkansas State University students participated Wednesday in the Arkansas STEM Posters at the State Capitol event. University students from across the state presented research projects in the Capitol Rotunda.

Student presenters from A-State were Salma Abdel-Karim of Jonesboro, Brilee Petty of Humboldt, Tenn., and Sangam Chula of Nepal. They were joined by Dr. Travis Marsico, vice provost for research, innovation, and discovery and executive director of the Arkansas Biosciences Institute; Dr. Argelia Lorence, professor of metabolic engineering; and Kari Harris, director of student research. ASU System interim president Dr. Robin Myers and members of the system staff also attended the event and heard presentations.
