Arkansas Business.com editor Lance Turner kicks off Joel Gambill Distinguished Alumni Speaker Series Oct. 1-2
JONESBORO, AR – Lance Turner, interactive editor of Arkansas Business.com and a regular panelist on AETN’s weekly public affairs program, “Arkansas Week,” will be the first speaker in the Dr. Joel Gambill Distinguished Alumni Speaker Series on October 1-2 at Arkansas State.
While on campus, he will speak to journalism and radio-television classes and have the opportunity to visit with students and faculty about challenges and opportunities in the media world.
Lance Turner graduated with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and printing in 1999 from ASU. Throughout college, he worked in various editorial positions for the student newspaper, The Herald, including news editor, online editor and editor.
Turner joined Arkansas Business Publishing Group in 1999. After working as a reporter and columnist for more than a year, he became interactive editor of ArkansasBusiness.com, leading the business news organization’s daily online news efforts.
In addition to managing ArkansasBusiness.com, Turner oversees all web content for Arkansas Business Publishing Group (ABPG) of Little Rock, which produces more than 20 weekly, monthly and annual magazines and newspapers in Arkansas. Through ABPG’s news partnership with Gannett Co.-owned Little Rock CBS affiliate KTHV-TV, Channel 11, Turner appears for business news reports on “THV This Morning” at 6:40 a.m. on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. He is also a regular panelist on AETN’s weekly public affairs program, “Arkansas Week.”
