Arkansas State’s Delta Center for Economic Development to Host Human Resources Course
JONESBORO, Ark. — If you are a small business owner or new to human resources as one of your business responsibilities, an updated Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Essentials of Human Resources Management course is available. The course is offered by Arkansas State University’s Delta Center for Economic Development.
The human resources program will be Thursday and Friday, Nov. 14-15, at 5501 Krueger Drive in Jonesboro, beginning at 8:30 a.m. and concluding at 5 p.m. each day. Cost is $495.
In 15 hours of training, the workshop covers human resources issues in an easy-to-understand format. It is directed at those who manage people, perform human resource tasks as part of their job, looking to enter into the growing human resources profession and to update knowledge and remain up-to-date on current HR issues.
Human resource management, recruitment and selection, employee development, employment law, performance management, and compensation and benefits are among the components in the seminar to aid those looking for methods to boost employee management skills.
