ASBTDC To Host accelHERate Event
JONESBORO – Women who are excelling in research, innovation and business will share lessons learned and hear advice for leading technology-based companies at the accelHERate event, Thursday, March 8. The discussion, hosted by the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center (ASBTDC), runs from 4:30-6 p.m., in the Arkansas Biosciences Institute, 504 University Loop West.
Speakers include Dr. Elizabeth Hood, chief executive officer of Infinite Enzymes, LLC and A-State Lipscomb Distinguished Professor; Dr. Giuliana Medrano, co-founder and chief scientific officer of GeneCoMe Biotech LC; Dr. Patricia Robertson, A-State chair of economics and finance, professor of business law and faculty coordinator of the university’s Women’s Business Leadership Center; and Dr. Hilary Schloemer, A-State assistant professor of management.
The group will present their thoughts on management and growth strategies, commercialization opportunities through the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program, startup mistakes and how to avoid them, key skills for entrepreneurial success and additional topics.
