ASU Museum to Host Two Mystery Museum Events, Saturday, Oct. 19

10/04/2013

JONESBORO – Arkansas State University Museum will host two “Mystery Museum” events on Saturday, Oct. 19: “The Case of the Missing Housewife” (for ages 10 and up) and “After Dark” (for ages 18 and up).

From 3 to 5 p.m., individuals aged 10 years and older will sharpen their detective skills as they investigate and solve “The Case of the Missing Housewife,” an original who-done-it mystery.  Guest detectives will meet and interrogate seven hilarious, though suspicious, characters and follow clues to an astonishing solution!  This is a free event.

From 7 until 9 p.m., visitors aged 18 years and above may join the Museum’s paranormal team for an “After Dark” investigation of ASU Museum.  Believers, skeptics, and those who just don’t know will respectfully join together to view the Museum in a different light.

They will learn about electromagnetic energy and discover whether it is present in the museum galleries and surrounding historical artifacts.  This also is a free event, but preregistration is required.  Interested individuals may call Jill Kary, curator of education at the Museum, (870) 972-2074, to preregister or to get additional information about the Mystery Museum events.

Museum information is available online at http://museum.astate.edu or http://facebook.com/ASUMuseum.  Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday.  ASU Museum is closed on Mondays and University holidays.
