ASU SBTDC and Independence County team to host Independence County Entrepreneurship Series
JONESBORO, AR – A six-night program designed to help residents in Independence County to start a business will get underway Thursday, Oct. 11, at the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville. Arkansas State’s Small Business and Technology Development Center (SBTDC), the Independence County Economic Development, Inc., and the Batesville Chamber of Commerce host the series.
The “Independence County Entrepreneurship” series is designed as a hands-on program for any area resident interested in starting a business. As part of the six-night series, participants will learn what it takes to start a business, how to write successful business plans and loan proposals, basic financing options to start the business, marketing assistance and research to find the best customers. Area lenders will also be present.
“Through a unique combination of expert speakers, hands-on business plan development with user-friendly business plan software, and assistance from business development professionals, participants will learn what it takes to launch and grow a small business in Independence County,” said Herb Lawrence, director of the ASU SBTDC.
