ASU SBTDC, Batesville Chamber of Commerce to help local businesses with “Website in a Day” seminar June 12
JONESBORO, Ark. — The Arkansas State University Small Business and Technology Development Center (SBTDC) and Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce will offer a special workshop, “Website in a Day,” for local small business owners and their employees. “Website in a Day” will be held at the Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce, 409 Vine Street in Batesville on Wednesday, June 12, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Approximately 97 percent of Internet users look online for information about local services – from restaurants to hardware stores, plumbers to dentists. Yet, at least half of all small businesses do not have websites.
“Website in a Day” will teach business owners how to build effective, easy-to-maintain websites with free online tools. The hands-on training will guide participants step-by-step through creating an attractive, functional, five-page website using ASU SBTDC-provided laptops.

Registration fee is $50 per person, $40 for Batesville Chamber of Commerce or Main Street Batesville members and $35 for UACCB faculty, staff or students.

The event is co-sponsored by the Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce, Main Street Batesville, Citizens Bank, First Community Bank, First National Banking Company, Liberty Bank of Arkansas and Merchant & Planters Bank.
The ASU Small Business and Technology Development Center is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration through a partnership with the University of Arkansas at Little Rock College of Business and other institutions of higher education.
