ASU SBTDC offers “Get Listed Locally” seminar in Mountain Home March 26
JONESBORO, Ark. — Arkansas State University Small Business and Technology Development Center (SBTDC) will offer a seminar for small business marketing called, “Get Listed Locally-Claiming Your Business for Local Search,” at the Baxter County Library in Mountain Home, 300 Library Hill Road, Tuesday, March 26, from 1-4 p.m.
Herb Lawrence, ASU SBTDC Director, will conduct the “Get Listed Locally” workshop.
“Even if you are not using social media or have a website, people are searching the internet for information about you, your business location, your products and services. They are using smart phones, mobile phones, mobile GPS systems to locate you,” said Lawrence, “The question is, have you made it easy for them to find you? If not, your competition has.”
In this three-hour hands-on seminar, Lawrence will show attendees simple on-line tools and websites that can be accessed that will ensure businesses are found locally, create unique marketing messages, and standout from their completion even if they don’t have a website. “Get Listed Locally” will show attendees how to improve search ranking on Google, Bing, and Yahoo in a snap. Attendees are encouraged to bring their laptop computers if they have one.
Registration is $35 per person ($25 for Mountain Home and Norfork Lake Chamber of Commerce members, $20 for ASU-Mountain Home faculty, staff and students).
