ASU SBTDC to Help Host Six-Night Program to Aid Independence County Businesses in Achieving Next Growth Stages
JONESBORO, Ark. — Arkansas State University’s Small Business and Technology Development Center (SBTDC) will join the Independence County Economic Development, Inc., the Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce and area lenders to host a six-night program to take Independence County businesses to the next stage of growth.
The session, “Tools to Keep Your Business Healthy,” gets underway, Tuesday, Oct. 15, from 6-9 p.m. each night at the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville. The series is designed as a hands-on program that will help area small businesses find new market opportunities, improve their bottom line, and keep their firms financially healthy.
Participants will learn how to create an entrepreneurial mindset, use direct skills to develop realistic marketing plans, learn tools to improve market analysis and penetration, easy to use financial management tips, develop realistic budgets, and create the right management team for growth. This business plan development will combine with expert speakers to create a realistic business model to move companies forward to the next level of profitability.
The series will be for six consecutive Tuesdays. Registration fee is $50 per person but the registration fee will be fully refunded to those individuals who attend five of the six nights and complete the program.
