ASU Theatre presents 'I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change' April 13-14, April 16, 17, 18
The ASU Theatre announces the cast of the April production of “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change.” This celebration of the mating game takes on the truths and myths behind that contemporary conundrum known as “the relationship.” Act I explores the journey from dating and waiting to love and marriage, while Act II reveals the agonies and triumphs of in-laws and newborns, trips in the family car, and pick-up techniques of the geriatric set. This hilarious revue pays tribute to those who have loved and lost, to those who have fallen on their face at the portal of romance, to those who have dared to ask, “Say, what are you doing Saturday night?”
Performances of “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change” will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday-Saturday, April 13-14, and Monday-Wednesday, April 16, 17, and 18. A “meet the company” dessert reception will follow April 13 opening night performance. All performances will take place in Fowler Center, 201 Olympic Drive, Jonesboro.
The ASU Theatre’s production of “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change,” is under the stage direction of Tim Bohn, assistant professor of Theatre. Scenic and lighting design will be by Jeff McLaughlin, assistant professor of Theatre, and Samantha Cole, a junior theatre major, will serve as costume designer. Ashley Chasteen, a senior physical therapy major from Collierville, Tenn., and Matt Currie, a junior theatre major from Cabot, will serve as stage managers.
The cast of characters includes Annie Clark, a senior theatre major from Paragould; Ben Griffin, a senior theatre major from Jacksonville; Dru Ergle, a freshman theatre major from Jonesboro; Madison Kuebler, a junior theatre major from Searcy; Matt Morgan, a senior theatre major from Jonesboro; Jordan Phillips, a sophomore theatre major from El Dorado; Josue Pollnow, a senior theatre major from Santander, Spain, and Sara Ring, a freshman theatre major from Cabot.
All seating is reserved, and tickets may be purchased in advance at the ASU Central Box Office, Convocation Center, or at 972-ASU1 (or (970) 972-2781). Tickets are also available online at http://www2.astate.edu/tickets/. Reserved seating tickets, if available, may be purchased at the door on the evening of the performance. Ticket prices for ASU Theatre’s 2011-12 season performances are $8 in advance and $10 at the door. Purchasing tickets in advance is highly recommended.
Children younger than six years old are not admitted to the ASU Theatre. Please arrive early; latecomers will not be seated until intermission.
