ASU Trombone Choir to Perform in Concert, Nov. 12
JONESBORO -- The Department of Music at Arkansas State University will present the ASU Trombone Choir in concert on Monday, Nov. 12, at 7:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center Recital Hall.
The ASU Trombone Choir is under the direction of Neale Bartee, professor of music. Admission is free.
The concert will include performances of “Kyrie Eleison” from “Sacrae Symphoniae 1597” by Giovanni Gabrieli, “Sonata for Four Trombones” by Daniel Speer, “La Bavara” from “Musicali Melodie 1621” by Martino Cesare, “First Shout” by Brian E. Lynn, “The Oak and the Ash” arranged by Tom Godfrey, “The Game” by Dimitri Kabalevsky, “Lassus Trombone” by Henry Fillmore, “Stardust” by Hoagy Carmichael, “Look to the Sky” by Carlos Antonio Jobim, and “Superstar Medley” by Andrew Lloyd Webber.
Members of the ASU Trombone Choir are Nathan Anderson of Sherwood, Wayne Brandt of Paragould, Brolin Brown of Sherwood, Andy Hakenewerth of Valley View, Daniel Harrelson of Warren, Dalton Henson of Hoxie, Devondre Hince of Jacksonville, Roy Massey of Salem, Alex McClung of Trumann, Kyle O’Brien of Batesville, Adam Waddell of Nettleton, Seth Wortham of Highland, Tyler Worsham of Keiser, Alex Ditto of Hoxie, Matt Bounds of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and Alex Long of Walnut Ridge. Members of the Pro Bones include Neale Bartee, Steve Alsup, Jack Mullins, Tom Mason, Don Bowyer, Joy Sanford, John Hays, and John Long.
