Black History Month Events at ASU Museum
JONESBORO – Arkansas State University Museum will present two Black History Month events in February, an authors' lecture and a film presentation.
Dr. Cherisse Jones-Branch, James and Wanda Lee Vaughn Professor of History, and Dr. Gary Edwards, associate professor of history, will discuss their book, "Arkansas Women: Their Lives and Times," during a 3:30-5:30 presentation Tuesday, Feb. 5. Book signing and light refreshments will follow.
The book features narratives from women who have made a significant impact in Arkansas.
On Tuesday, Feb. 12, from 3 to 5 p.m., guests may view the PBS documentary, "Maya Angelou: And Still I Rise," in the Museum’s auditorium. This film received a Peabody Award in 2017.
