Boston Brass to Perform Christmas Bells Are Swingin'

JONESBORO – Arkansas State University’s Fowler Center will present Boston Brass and the Brass All-Stars Big Band in a performance of "Christmas Bells are Swingin' " as the next performance in the 2015-16 Riceland Distinguished Performance Series.
The concert will be Sunday, Dec. 6, at 2 p.m. The sponsor of the show is KASU radio.
For 27 years, Boston Brass has set out to establish a one-of-a-kind musical experience. From exciting classical arrangements, to burning jazz standards, and the best of the original brass quintet repertoire, Boston Brass treats audiences to a unique brand of entertainment, which captivates all ages.
The ensemble's lively repartee, touched with humor and personality, attempts to bridge the ocean of classical formality to delight audiences in an evening of great music and boisterous fun. The philosophy of Boston Brass is to provide audiences with a wide selection of musical styles in unique arrangements, provided in a friendly and fun atmosphere.
“Come join us and get into the mood for Christmas with the Boston Brass performing Christmas Bells are Swingin',” says Bob Simpson, Fowler Center director.
All seating is reserved. Individual tickets for the Riceland Distinguished Performance Series are $30 and $20 for adults, and $23 and $15 for senior citizens and students, $24 and $16 for A-State faculty and staff, and $10 and $6 for A-State students with a current ID. Group discounts are available for groups of 15 or more.
