College of Agriculture Announces Top Graduating Students for 2023-24
JONESBORO – The College of Agriculture at Arkansas State University recognized its outstanding students for the 2023-24 academic year during Convocation of Scholars, according to Dr. Mickey LaTour, dean.
The Chancellor’s Scholar Award was presented to Catelyn Parker of Carlisle, who is completing a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (BSA) degree with a major in agricultural business.
The 4.0 Scholar Award went to graduating students Rachel Davis of Mammoth Spring, who is majoring in agricultural business and accounting, and Alex O'Shields of McCrory, who is majoring in agricultural education.
The Outstanding Graduating Senior awards were presented as follows:
-- Haleigh Jackson of Leachville, BSA, agricultural business;
-- Madison Welch of McCrory, BSA, agricultural education;
-- Brittany Hirsch of Thayer, Mo., BSA, animal science, and
-- Rance Wagoner of Rosie, BSA, plant and soil science.
The Olen P. Nail Outstanding Junior Award was presented to Emily Culp of Marianna, who is majoring in plant and soil science.
