College of Nursing and Health Professions Recognizes Top Graduating Seniors

JONESBORO — The College of Nursing and Health Professions at Arkansas State University recognized approximately 90 outstanding graduating students during Convocation of Scholars, according to Dr. Scott Gordon, dean of the college.

Hannah Taylor of Jonesboro, who majored in communication disorders, received the Chancellor’s Scholar award as the graduating senior with the highest overall grade point average and most credit hours completed at A-State.

Ten additional graduating students with a perfect 4.0 GPA received the 4.0 Scholar award in recognition of their scholarly achievement.

Recipients of the 4.0 Scholar award in the School of Nursing are Briley Brothers of Marion, Katherine Butler of Medina, Tenn., Rebecca French of Collierville, Tenn., Paige Penn of Black Rock and Jacob Koehler of St. Charles, Mo.

In the Department of Communication Disorders, 4.0 Scholars are Keelin Fullen of Bauxite, Carly Strong of Sheridan, Hannah Taylor of Jonesboro and Madison Triplett of Coldwater, Miss.

Taylor Adams of Ravenden Springs, a social work graduate, as well as Katrina Alexander of Harrison, a graduate of the dietetics program, also received the 4.0 Scholar award.

Outstanding graduating students also received various awards for academic and clinical achievements in the college’s undergraduate and graduate degree programs.
