Department of Music to present Tuba and Euphonium Ensemble Concert, Oct. 30
The Department of Music at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro will present the ASU Tuba and Euphonium Ensemble in concert on Tuesday, Oct. 30, at 7:30 in Riceland Hall of Fowler Center, 201 Olympic Dr. Admission is free.
The program for the evening will include “Ludus” by Vaclav Nelhybel, “Fugue in D Minor” by Johann Sebastian Bach, “Four Pieces” by Gordon Jacob, “Mars” and “Second Suite in F” by Gustav Holst, “Nimrod” by Edward Elgar, and “Entry of the Gladiators” by Julius Fucik.
Members of the ensemble include Eric Barnet of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Blake Craft of Corning, Jacob Davis of Piggott, Jeremy Drymon of Fort Smith, Cody Duncan of Harrisburg, Sterling Dunham of Trumann, Jonathon Edmonds of Batesville, Derek Escue of Jonesboro, Shelby Higgins of Bryant, Cody Hutchison of Jonesboro, Jennifer McDonough of Cabot, Olivia Pillow of Paragould, Jacob Van Aalsburg of Highland, LaDawna Williams of Jacksonville, Charles Willis of Fort Smith, and Matthew Wilson of Cherry Valley.
The ensemble is under the direction of Dr. Ed Owen, associate professor of music.
