Free Entrepreneurship Workshop Set at A-State
JONESBORO — A workshop designed to provide the basic requirements for Small Business Innovation Research/Small Business Technology Transfer (SBIR/STTR) program participation will be held Thursday, Sept. 8, at 2 p.m. in the Arkansas State University Delta Center for Economic Development, 319 University Loop Circle.
In addition, the class will demonstrate how to get started with the SBIR/SBTTR programs and provide tips for success. The A-State Small Business and Technology Development Center (ASBTDC) and the Arkansas Economic Development Commission host the workshop. Admission is free, but participants must register online at http://tiny.cc/17yrcy because of limited seating.

Award-winning presenter Dr. Ellen Brune is the keynote speaker. She is also the founder and chief executive officer of Boston Mountain Biotech in Fayetteville. Her research has been funded with more than $1.25 million in grants from the National Science Foundation and the Arkansas Biosciences Institute.
Recently, Brune has been providing consulting services in the areas of patent development, research validation, commercialization studies and technology-transfer agreements.
