Graduate Students Win Awards at Regional Conference

JONESBORO – Dr. Kyle Gustafson (second from left), assistant professor of biological sciences at Arkansas State University, accompanied a group of A-State graduate students to the 2024 Southwestern Association of Parasitologists in Kingston, Okla. Sam Messinides (left) of Camden, S.C., earned the Student Research Grant Award, Taylor Fiedor (center) of O’Kean earned the honorable mention Graduate Student Award, and Monica Reusche (fourth from left) of Orlando, Fla., earned the highest award, the David A. Becker Memorial Award. Maria Bollinger (far right) of Stillwater, Okla., earned the honorable mention Graduate Student Award in 2023.
