Strong-Turner Alumni Chapter events
The Strong-Turner Alumni Chapter (S-TAC), a chapter of the ASU Alumni Association focusing on African-American alumni and friends, plans several Homecoming events. This evening, the S-TAC 'Friday Night Social' will be held at the Lexington Suites Hotel, 2909 Kazi Street in Jonesboro, from 10 p.m. – 2 a.m. Tomorrow, there will be a S-TAC business meeting in the Cache River Room of the Student Union at 10 a.m. It will be followed at noon by the Linual Cameron Scholarship reception which has moved to the Student Union's Spring River Room. Beck PRIDE Center 5th Anniversary
The Beck PRIDE Center in Room 171 of the Reynolds Building will celebrate its 5th anniversary Friday from 2-4 p.m. The public is invited. For more information, the Beck PRIDE Center can be reached at 870-972-2624.
College of Communications
Saturday morning, the College of Communications hosts an open house of the Herald office and TV Studio from 9-9:45 a.m., which will be followed in the TV Studio at 10 a.m. by alumni speaker Barbara Nellis Townsend '82 who will discuss working in the motion picture industry. CNHP 30th Anniversary
There will be several events Saturday at the College of Nursing and Health Professions celebrating CNHP's 30th anniversary. At 1 p.m., the will be a Continuing Education program titled Evidence Based Practice: Promoting a Spirit of Inquiry with a panel including David Smith and Jeff Ramsey from Physical Therapy, Debbie Persell from Disaster Preparedness & Emergency Management, and Jessica Camp from Nursing. CNHP will hold an open house and offer tours of the Donald W. Reynolds Center for Health Sciences from 2-3 p.m., and will host the CNHP Distinguished Alumni awards presentation from 3-3:30 p.m. For more information, contact the College of Nursing and Health Professions at 870-972-3112.
College tailgates
A number of ASU colleges and organizations, including the College of Communications, College of Humanities & Social Sciences, College of Nursing and Health Professions, College of Science & Math, Honors College, and Lettermen's Club will sponsor pre-game tailgate parties at Tailgate City, west of Liberty Bank Stadium. Alumni are invited to stroll Tailgate City and tailgate with fellow Red Wolves fans.
Ride JETS Red Wolf Express to the game
