Homecoming Court Named, King and Queen to be Announced Saturday

JONESBORO – The 10 members of the 2023 Homecoming Court were named at Arkansas State University at the Kingdom’s Got Talent event Monday night.

The five males and five females were nominated by different organizations on campus and selected by a vote by the student body.Those selected for the court who are nominees for king include:

  • Chris Crutchfield, a senior music education major from North Little Rock, nominated by the Black Student Association
  • Lawson Davis, a junior nursing major from Russellville, nominated by Alpha Gamma Delta
  • Natán Gómez, a senior biotechnology major from Irapuato, Guanajuato, Mexico, nominated by Hermana y Hermano
  • Phillip Stanley, a junior accounting major from North Little Rock, nominated by Lambda Chi Alpha
  • Landon Valdez, a senior exercise science major from Searcy, nominated by Alpha Omicron Pi.

Those selected for the court who are nominees for queen include:

  • Alex Crawley, a senior biology major of Jonesboro, nominated by Alpha Gamma Delta
  • Mary Dirnberger, a junior nursing major from Cape Girardeau, Mo., nominated by Lambda Chi Alpha
  • Kendall Jennings, a junior strategic communications major from Cabot, nominated by Kappa Alpha Order
  • Alandria Maddox, a junior history major from Jonesboro, nominated by Arkansas State Magic: The Gathering Club
  • Sarah McCammon, a senior accounting and data analytics major from Searcy, nominated by Alpha Omicron Pi.

This week, nominees will participate in interviews as well as another vote by the student body, which will be held on Thursday.The king and queen will be announced at halftime this Saturday at the Homecoming game when the Red Wolves take on Coastal Carolina.
