Hospitality Management Students and Faculty Participate in State Conference
JONESBORO – Four Arkansas State University students and their faculty adviser enjoyed an educational experience as participants in the Arkansas Hospitality Association annual convention at the Statehouse Convention Center in Little Rock.
ThiKimNhi Phan and Thy Bui, both of Vietnam, Hino Suzuki of Japan, and Stella Ribeiro of France manned a booth and interacted with industry representatives.
Phan, Bui and Suzuki are majoring in hospitality and event tourism management in the Neil Griffin College of Business. Ribeiro is a world languages and cultures major in the College of Liberal Arts and Communication.
Their adviser is Dr. David Pearlman, associate professor of hospitality management and founding director of the program. Pearlman served on a panel with fellow industry and collegiate professionals to discuss available educational resources.
