PIGGOTT — To kick off the Hemingway-Pfeiffer Museum and Educational Center’s upcoming trip to Cuba, HPMEC will host Una Noche Cubana, a Cuban-themed evening, Friday, Sept. 30, at the Pavilion on the campus of Arkansas State University.
The evening begins at 6 p.m. with Cuban cocktails and a cigar demonstration by Wade Berryhill of Orinoco Cigars. Dinner follows at 7 p.m. Mark Cirino, co-author of “Hidden Hemingway,” will speak during dinner.
The evening serves as a start for the museum’s trip to Cuba in 2017, following in the footsteps of Hemingway’s novel, “Islands in the Stream.” Details of the trip will be available at the dinner.
The cost of a ticket is $75. Tables of six are available for $400. Proceeds will benefit the museum.
