KASU Offers Special Student Membership in Fundraising Efforts
JONESBORO – KASU 91.9 FM, the public radio station at Arkansas State University, is offering a new student membership as part of its continuing fall fundraising efforts.
The KASU student membership can be purchased online for $15 through KASU.org and providing the student’s identification number.
KASU Development Director Kristy Cates noted that the membership, which lasts through August 2020, includes discount cards from 10 local businesses inside a stadium-compliant wristlet/crossover bag.
“Of course, an Arkansas State University student can purchase one, but the KASU student membership can also be purchased as a ‘care package’ that can be donated for the December holidays,” said Cates.
She added that the first Red Wolf student to purchase the membership is Christian Willis, a junior from Illinois, who stated he bought one because he saw it as an opportunity to donate to an organization he was interested in being involved in.
Additionally, Sommer Shannon, a KASU student volunteer at KASU, was gifted a membership by a KASU contributor, and plans to use the bag as a travel bag and is thankful for the discounts. Eleanor Norling of Stockton, Maine, donated to provide student memberships to more KASU volunteers.
KASU, 91.9 FM, is the 100,000-watt public broadcasting service of A-State. For more information about the fall fundraiser, contact Cates at kcates@AState.edu or 870-972-3486. More details are on the KASU Public Radio Facebook page.
