Latest Edition of Arkansas Review is Published

JONESBORO – The latest issue of Arkansas Review: A Journal of Delta Studies has recently been published at Arkansas State University. 

The August 2021 issue (Volume 52, Number 2) includes a scholarly research article written by John Fraser on the political and protest strategies of the Southern Tenant Farmers’ Union in the mid-1930s. Fraser has worked in public history and park management since 2004.

This issue also showcases a variety of creative works ranging from poetry by Claude Wilkinson, Matthew Brown, and Gerard Sarnat, pieces of fiction by Robin Kozak and James Ulmer, and memoirs by Kenzie Deloache and Michael Melneck.

This newest edition of Arkansas Review also contains an academic article written by Andrew Scheiber which discusses the myths, origin and haunting aspects of the blues universe.

Arkansas Review publishes scholarly articles, creative fiction and non-fiction, poetry, and artwork pertaining to the Mississippi Delta Region, as well as regular features, such as book reviews and Delta sources and resources.

The journal is published three times per year, under the direction of the Marcus Tribbett, associate professor of English, and general editor.
