Latest Issue of Arkansas Review is Now Available
JONESBORO – The latest issue of Arkansas Review: A Journal of Delta Studies has recently been published.
The December 2019 issue (volume 50, number 3) includes an interview with poet and professor Greg Brownderville, an Arkansas native and director of the creative writing program at Southern Methodist University. He will present one of his creative pieces during the 26th annual Delta Symposium at Arkansas State University in April.
The creative works featured in this issue take a variety of forms, from poetry by Robin Kozak, Paula Friedman, and Ian Hall to fiction by Patrick Holian and Mary McMyne, creative non-fiction by Lauri Umansky, director of the A-State heritage studies doctoral program, and a play by Brownderville.
This newest edition of Arkansas Review also introduces an academic article, by Aaron Miller, examining the life and work of musician and Arkansas native Johnny Cash.
Arkansas Review publishes scholarly articles, creative fiction and non-fiction, poetry, and artwork pertaining to the Mississippi Delta Region, as well as regular features, such as book reviews and Delta Sources and Resources.
The journal is published three times per year under the direction of the general editor, Dr. Marcus Tribbett, assistant professor of English at A-State.
