Marketing Classes Offered this Fall for Small Businesses Through ASBTDC
JONESBORO – The Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center (ASBTDC) at Arkansas State University will host a series of workshops and consulting sessions this fall that can benefit small businesses in their marketing endeavors.
Several sessions will be available that business leaders can attend. ASBTDC provides one-to-one confidential guidance to business owners and entrepreneurs. Primary areas of assistance include business planning, financial analysis, market research, loan packaging, growth and expansion, marketing, and profitability.
Events will be held as follows:
— Tuesday, Oct. 24, Laura Miller, director of ASBTDC, along with Rheanna Branscum, ASBTDC business consultant, will lead the class “Marketing Your Small Business,” from 10 a.m. until noon. The class will be held at Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce, located at 409 Vine St.
— Wednesday, Oct. 25, Miller will be at the Spring River Innovation Hub, located at 7 Cherokee Village Mall in Cherokee Village. Consulting sessions will be available from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.— Wednesday, Nov. 1, an online class will be held from 2 until 3:30 p.m. This class, “Building a Smart Online Marketing Strategy,” will be led by Melissa Forziat of Melissa Forziat Events and Marketing. A link to the Zoom event will be provided upon registration.
— Thursday, Nov. 2, Miller and Branscum will lead the class, “Marketing Your Small Business,” at the Newport Area Chamber of Commerce, located at 201 Hazel St., from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
— Wednesday, Nov. 8, an online class, “Pinpointing Your Perfect Brand and Target Market,” will be held via Zoom. Forziat will lead this virtual class from 2 until 3:30 p.m. The link will be provided to those who register for the class.
The sessions are made possible by co-sponsorships from FNBC Bank, First Community Bank, NEA Intermodal Authority, East Arkansas Planning & Development District, Simmons Bank, First Security Bank, and Regions Bank.
There is no charge for the training events or counseling sessions, but registration is required. One may call the ASBTDC at 870-972-3517 to register.
