New Exhibit at Arkansas State University Museum Features Acts of Nature that Shaped the Earth

JONESBORO – Tornadoes, landslides and other natural events are on display at Arkansas State University Museum in its newest exhibit, “Shaping our World,” which highlights the phenomenal acts of nature that landscaped Earth.

ASU Museum presents “Shaping our World” from Saturday, Sept. 14, through Feb. 16, 2014.

The exhibit, developed by the Arkansas Discovery Network through a grant funded by the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation, offers visitors a chance to summon a tornado, shift sand, race a sailboat in heavy wind, cause liquefaction of soil, and experience other forces of nature.

ASU Museum is located at 320 University Loop West Circle in the west wing of Dean B. Ellis Library.  One may visit the Museum online at http://museum.astate.edu or http://facebook.com/ASUMuseum. Museum hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
