New Wolf Den Opens with Annual Pack Pride Day Activities
JONESBORO – The Student Activities Board (SAB), in partnership with the Department of Athletics, will conduct its 20th annual A-State Pack Pride Day activities Thursday, Feb. 1, according to Morgan Crain, coordinator of student activities at Arkansas State University.
A-State's home basketball games with Georgia State will mark the grand opening of the Wolf Den, which is a student-only lounge that will be open on select days for students to connect before the game. Food donated by Sodexo will be available for the grand opening.
The Den is located in a section of the Hames Room on the lower level of First National Bank Arena.
Students had an opportunity to nominate students, faculty, staff, families, and organizations for the three annual Pack Pride Day recognition awards: the Scarlet Bella Award, the Howler Award and the Alpha Wolf Award. Winners will be announced during a pep rally between the games, around 7 p.m.
The BoDolf Award, for most spirited student organization, will be announced in the fourth quarter of the men's game.
Winners of the decorating competitions for campus offices, residence halls, and registered student organization offices and meeting places also will be announced.
The SAB will be giving away 225 t-shirts to students, as well as rally towels.
