North End Zone Seating Moved for A-State vs. Troy
JONESBORO – The Arkansas State Athletics Department has announced Wednesday that the general admission seating in Centennial Bank Stadium’s north end zone will not be available for A-State’s Dec. 2 football game against Troy due to construction starting on the “North End Zone Expansion” project.
Fans possessing general admission tickets have been accommodated with reserved seats on the east side of the stadium. Season and single-game ticket holders in the general admission section of the stadium have new tickets that have been placed on their account so they can download and print them.
Their tickets will also be available at Will Call at the First National Bank Arena box office leading up to game day or at the International Tours Ticket Booth on the west side of Centennial Bank Stadium on game day. A-State’s “North End Zone Expansion” project was recently approved and construction has begun on the project with the removal of the north end zone bleachers being the first step. Fans at Saturday’s game will still have access to the concourse area located on the north side of the stadium to travel between the east and west sides of the stadium.
Both Arkansas State and Troy enter Saturday’s showdown with 6-1 marks in league play and the winner of the contest will secure at least a share of the Sun Belt Conference championship.
The new facility under construction will span approximately 66,533 square feet and be utilized by all A-State student-athletes with amenities such as a weight room, training and rehabilitation area, academic rooms and a team theater-seating room. The facility will also co-exist as a football operations building consisting of a team locker room, meeting rooms, players’ lounge, coaching offices and more.
The project will not only enhance the student-athlete experience for current and future Red Wolves, it will create additional space to expand the entire athletics department as well. The construction will also yield 150 new loge boxes and 68 new premium seats, generating additional revenue for the athletics department.
The new seating areas and aesthetic improvements to the stadium will combine to upgrade the game day experience for fans and will allow for private and corporate event opportunities on non-game days. The aesthetic enhancements will pay homage to The Natural State with landscape features indigenous to the state of Arkansas.
