Percussion Ensemble to Perform in Recital, Nov. 2
JONESBORO – The Department of Music at Arkansas State University will present the A-State Percussion Ensemble in concert on Thursday, Nov. 2, at 7:30 p.m. in Fowler Center’s Riceland Hall. This performance is free and open to the public.
The ensemble will perform “Ritual Music” by David Skidmore, “Shared Space” by Ivan Trevino, and “Colours” by Leonhard Waltersdorfer, featuring Emily Lindley on vibraphone and Jesse Lyons on marimba. The group will close the program with “Torched and Wrecked” by David Skidmore.
The Percussion Ensemble is under the direction of Craig Collison, director of percussion studies at A-State.
Members of the ensemble include Chris Isom, Emily Lindley, Will Pemberton, and Alex Washam, all of Jonesboro; Andrew Coleman of Colt; Tim Gilbee of Bald Knob; Jesse Lyons of Paragould; and Gibson Morgan of Star City.
