Percussion Ensemble to Present Spring Concert, April 9
JONESBORO – Members of the Percussion Ensemble at Arkansas State University will present their Spring Concert on Tuesday, April 9, at 7:30 p.m. in Fowler Center, Riceland Hall.
The ensemble is under the direction of Craig Collison, associate professor of music. Admission is free.
A highlight of the evening will be a performance of “KuKu (Macrou)” by the Jonesboro Visual and Performing Arts Magnet School African Drum Ensemble.
Other concert selections on the program are: “Concerto for Drumset and Percussion Ensemble” by Jamie Whitmarsh, “Concerto for Vibraphone” by Nathan Daughtrey, and “Crown of Thorns” by David Maslanka.
ASU Percussion Ensemble personnel include: Christopher Boling, Sarah Deeds, Alex Ditto, Mason Jackson, Garrett Tyler, and James Washam, all of Jonesboro, Trent Duff of Pocahontas, John Long of Walnut Ridge, Randall Ramsey and Heath Rogers of Searcy, Carlos Serna of Nettleton, and Tyler Worsham of Paragould.
